It is said that the radio was first invented by a Bengali, but colonial obstructions on patent laws prevented Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose from being recognized globally. Thousands of inventions and innovations in these lands go unnoticed due to its relative unimportance in the global scene. As can be expected, Bengal’s innovative genes are only starting to stir – as it reaches the comfort typical of a middle-income country. Plenty of new innovations, inventions, modifications, programs, applications and processes are taking place in the Bangladesh of today. Here are some that I found interesting.
