About

I am a seekers of patterns and causalities. A humble spectator, an inept analyst. A frontless back-end. A call-it-as-I-see-it-er. An aspiring, unsuspecting puritan. A serious man, an idiot savant …without the savant. And even the idiot, when silent, is thought wise.

I’ve always held off my thoughts and opinions in the fear of being laughed at or proven wrong (in that order). In class, I’d hang my head to avoid standing up to questions that I could easily answer. In meetings, I wait till everyone around the table has had their say. Then I wonder if I have anything to add. This blog is an attempt to put myself out there: to be the  first one to speak and risk the ridicule; To risk being told to my face that I am, indeed, mediocre. Perhaps then, I’ll manage to take this attitude out of the virtual world and off for a walk.

I am: a Muslim, a Bangladeshi; by profession an advertising and strategy consultant; Aspiring writer and development enthusiast. Social misfit and talentless musician.

I hope my blog will be about  ‘ideas’ – borrowed or otherwise. Please share yours.

    • Thank you. I am quite new to blogs – and am still trying to figure what to do. I hope you will come back, read my posts and suggest improvements.

    • Dear Tara, thanks a lot. ‘Original’ was the compliment of the decade! Hope you come by again.

    • Hey hey! Yeah …putting myself out there isn’t as easy as I thought – but hopefully I’ll get mo-better. Loving your blog – be wary of those doxxers though! Peace out!

  2. Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your support! Also, the artwork you use for your blog title, I really like it. It’s a very powerful and dramatic piece. Who is the artist?

    • Thanks a lot Quo! Really like that attitude …but I guess I’ve grown old enough to be okay with mediocrity. Its kinda cool really. BTW really enjoying your hilarious posts.

    • Ah! I await the day I’ll get to see Munch’s masterpiece. I was very moved by your ‘who am I’ section – it had so many little stories within stories. Thank you for your compliments and best of luck with the novel.

    • I don’t how I missed your message earlier (hence, the delay). I have been checking out your blog too. “Don’t Just Write Words” was especially enlightening for such a brief post 🙂 Thanks for dropping by and dropping a line.

  3. “In meetings, I wait till everyone around the table has had their say. Then I wonder if I have anything to add.” –> That’s exactly what I do as well! I recognize myself in your words. Looking forward to reading your posts. Cheers!

    • Hey Norah – it took me 11 months to plan this reply! Am so glad you dropped by …another classical introvert, it seems. I’ve been away for a bit – getting married and stuff – but I hope to be back. I’ll come visit your blog soon.
